Welcome to our place where we just horse around!

Kaarvaag Farm is located on the island of Averøy on the northwestern coast of Norway. It has been in the ownership of our family for hundreds of years and the homestead can be dated as far back as to the late 6th century.

Horses have always been bred and raised here at the farm, first for the purpose of working the land. At the end of the 1980s horse racing (trotting) caught our interest. While at first a hobby it is now the main part of the farm operation.

Kaarvaag Farm is owned by Ole (57) and Eva (56) Kårvåg, but their eldest daughter, Kirsti (35), is already involved in the day to day running of the farm, preparing for the day when the family legacy will be hers.
